Key Elements
  • Industrial and office space fire risk assessments
  • Fire consultancy
  • Liaison with individual sites

The Challenge

Kiwa Fire Safety Compliance (KFS) was contracted to deliver fire risk assessments (FRA) at three Müller industrial sites in Market Drayton, Telford and Droitwich.

Each site is large with numerous building risk profiles, uses and risks, requiring careful assessment planning.

The Solution

To meet the demands of the large scale sites and range of buildings, multiple FRA reports were generated. KFS engineers used their extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and tailored this to each building’s use, risks and risk profile. They also applied their experience and technical expertise in industrial premises with specific fire risks.

The KFS team liaised with each site in advance to plan their visits, which included third parties such as transport contractors. This enabled them to carry out thorough assessments followed by detailed reports and recommendations, as timely as possible. The fire risk assessment reports were reviewed following engineering works and modifications of the plant.

KFS has an established close working relationship with Müller and kept them informed throughout the process.

The Outcome

This is just one example of the work KFS has carried out for Müller. KFS is pleased to have a long-standing working relationship with the client which means delivering pragmatic fire risk assessment reports for each site on an annual basis.

Having such a detailed understanding of each site and any expected challenges is advantageous in providing the best possible solutions.
